Filtration + softener systems

Whole-home carbon filtration plus true softening.

Your home and water are different. We'll help determine the right treatment before recommending a system. Three months of White Glove Service included with qualifying new system installation. Optional under-sink reverse osmosis priced separately.

Filtration + softener

Why these systems are paired

Carbon filtration is for chlorine-related taste and odor on municipal supply. True ion-exchange softening is for hardness minerals that leave spots and scale. Most city-water homes in Palm Beach County and Broward County discuss both—so SpenceCo packages them together.

Equipment sits on the incoming line, usually in a garage or utility space, so treated water feeds showers, laundry, and sinks. Bypass valves allow service without shutting water off at the street.

This is not a salt-free conditioner. The softener in the package is a true ion-exchange system.

Get the Treatment Your Home Really Needs

Your home and water are different. We'll help determine the right treatment before recommending a system.

Your recommendation and water details help us confirm the right system and installed quote. Any additional work is quoted before installation.

Final recommendation and pricing depend on water conditions, plumbing configuration, home requirements, and any unusual installation conditions. Extra plumbing, electrical, outdoor placement, or non-standard materials are quoted before installation.

Whole-home carbon and softening are commonly discussed for municipal-water homes. Private wells are reviewed separately and may need different equipment or testing.

Optional upgrade

Add under-sink reverse osmosis for a dedicated drinking faucet.

Reverse osmosis treats drinking and cooking water at one kitchen faucet. It does not replace whole-home carbon or softening for showers and laundry. RO is priced separately when recommended.

Condos and homes that cannot place whole-home tanks may still discuss under-sink RO on its own—we say so during the visit.

Test first

A free in-home water test confirms hardness, chlorine-related taste issues, and whether a standard install fits the house.

Standard install pricing

Final recommendation and pricing depend on water conditions, plumbing configuration, home requirements, and any unusual installation conditions. Extra plumbing, electrical, outdoor placement, or non-standard materials are quoted before installation.

White Glove included

Three months of follow-up care is included with the package so salt, filters, and system check-ins are not an afterthought.

Municipal homes

Built for typical city-water single-family installs.

Whole-home carbon and softening are commonly discussed for municipal-water homes. Private wells are reviewed separately and may need different equipment or testing.

Private wells are welcome for household treatment, but they are tested and quoted separately. See well-water treatment for that path.

FAQ

Package questions

What is included in a typical whole-home system?+

Whole-home carbon filtration plus a true ion-exchange water softener, professionally installed with basic installation materials, three months of White Glove Service, and a free in-home water test. Under-sink reverse osmosis is optional and priced separately.

How does SpenceCo determine the right system and quote?+

We review your water source, goals, published utility information when available, household details, and installation conditions. Your free water test or recommendation questionnaire confirms fit. Extra plumbing, electrical, outdoor placement, or non-standard materials are quoted before installation.

Why pair carbon filtration with a softener?+

Carbon typically addresses chlorine-related taste and odor. Softening addresses hardness minerals that leave scale and spotting. Most municipal homes in our market discuss both, which is why they are packaged together.

Can I add reverse osmosis later?+

Yes. Optional under-sink RO can be discussed with the package or added later for a dedicated drinking faucet.

We perform an in-home field assessment of treatment-relevant conditions, look at the incoming line, and help determine which treatment options make sense—before recommending a system or installed quote.
