Free water test

Your Free Water Test Visit

We’ll perform an in-home field assessment of treatment-relevant conditions, review your home’s setup, and explain your options. After you submit your request, you can choose a visit time. This visit is not a laboratory-certified analysis unless separately arranged.

The free water test

How the first visit works.

  1. 01

    Schedule your free water test

Tell us your city and whether the home is on city water or a well. SpenceCo confirms the visit time.

  2. 02

We evaluate your water and plumbing setup

We test treatment-relevant conditions such as hardness and review taste, odor, staining, sediment, and other concerns where applicable. We also look at the incoming line, drain, electrical needs, and equipment placement.

  3. 03

    We explain your options

You get a clear recommendation. You are not committing to installation when you schedule the test.

  4. 04

Professional installation if you move forward

If you choose a system, we install it carefully and leave you with straightforward next steps for care.

We don’t start with a water system. We start with your water.

Your assessment focuses on the conditions relevant to your home. It may include hardness, pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), disinfectant/chlorine context, iron, and observations of sulfur odor. Not every measurement is needed on every visit. An odor observation is not a quantitative hydrogen-sulfide test, and general chemistry does not establish microbiological safety.

We also review the water source, plumbing and equipment location. Household flow/GPM, pressure, drainage and other site conditions are checked where relevant to the proposed installation. Municipal information stays separate from measurements taken at your home.

You receive an explanation of what was measured, which treatment—if any—is supported, and what still needs verification. Request your free visit below; an appointment is confirmed only when the scheduling process confirms it.

What we look at

  • Hardness and chlorine taste or odor
  • Sediment, iron/staining, or sulfur odor when relevant
  • Existing equipment and incoming plumbing
  • Drain and electrical availability for softening equipment
  • Installation area (usually garage or utility space)
  • HOA considerations when exterior placement is discussed

The visit helps determine the appropriate treatment recommendation for your home. You are not obligated to purchase a system.

FAQ

Questions we actually get

What does a free water test include?+

An in-home visit to perform a field assessment of treatment-relevant conditions such as hardness, review taste, odor, staining, sediment, and other concerns where applicable, and look at where whole-home equipment would go. You get a clear recommendation before we leave. You are not obligated to buy a system.

Is this laboratory-certified?+

No—not unless separately arranged. The free in-home test is a field assessment for treatment recommendations. It is not a certified laboratory analysis and does not certify that water is safe to drink or test for every contaminant.

How long does the water test take?+

Most visits are a focused appointment at the home: we assess treatment-relevant conditions, look at the incoming line, and talk through options. You will know what we found before we leave.

Do I need to be home?+

Yes. We need access to an indoor tap and to the area where equipment would go—usually a garage or utility space.

Does the water test require a purchase?+

No. We will explain what the results mean and what a system would cost if you want one. The test itself is free.
