Municipal water vs. private well water

City supply and private wells need different assumptions. Here is how SpenceCo approaches each without overselling one package.

Evergreen guide

Municipal (city) water

Municipal water is treated by a utility before it reaches most Palm Beach County and Broward County homes. Disinfection often involves chlorine or related residual that homeowners notice as taste or odor. Hardness can still be present. SpenceCo’s whole-home carbon filtration plus true softener recommendation is built for typical single-family municipal installs.

Your mailing city does not always match your utility. The in-home visit confirms the supply at your tap and whether a standard install fits the garage or utility space.

Private wells

Private well water is not the same as treated municipal water. Chemistry varies by property. Iron, sediment, sulfur odor, and hardness can appear in combinations that need equipment selected after testing. Well systems are quoted separately from municipal recommendations.

SpenceCo treats household well water—filtration and softening for sinks, showers, and laundry. Regulated well contracting is not currently advertised on this site.

How whole-home treatment fits either source

On either supply, whole-home equipment sits at the incoming line so treated water feeds the house. Bypass valves, drain access, and placement still matter. Tell SpenceCo whether you are on city water or a well when you request the free test so the visit is set up correctly.
